Bitcoin and Crypto
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you would have seen that Bitcoin has been making a lot of noise lately. It has been on an uptrend since late 2020 and this has continued into 2021. In February it managed to hit a record high of $50k and this trend looks to continue with a lot of people getting into the market.
This surge in February was largely due to Tesla’s purchase of $1.5 billion worth of Bitcoin. The rise of Bitcoin has also seen other altcoins growing in value as well. The CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk has also been promoting another cryptocurrency Doge, which has also seen a significant increase in its value over a very short period of time.
It’s a great time to start investing in cryptocurrency and I recommend that you use the Trust Wallet app to keep your cryptocurrencies. It has most of the major cryptocurrencies. The platform also allows you to buy cryptocurrency with your Visa or MasterCard.
I highly recommend that you follow all the steps they lay out during the registration process in order to keep your wallet safe and to be able to recover it if you were unable to access it for one reason or another.
You may have heard of people who lost access to their cryptocurrency wallets with millions of dollars in them. We don’t want this to be your story. As a part of the sign-up process, you will get a 12 character code. Keep this in a safe place in order to be able to recover your wallet when the need arises.
Skrill no Longer Operating in Zimbabwe
Recently, Skrill users in Zimbabwe got an email stating that Skrill will no longer be operating in Zimbabwe from April 2021. This really hit hard in the Forex, Binary Options and Indices Traders market as they relied heavily on Skrill as a way of depositing and withdrawing their money.
When it first came on to the market, Skrill was a great alternative to platforms such as PayPal and others which did not allow access to Zimbabweans. Naturally, people flocked to this platform and had developed a heavy dependency on it. They are sure to feel stranded. Fortunately, I have an alternative for you.
Deriv as a Skrill Alternative
Deriv is my recommended broker for Forex, Binary Trading, and Indices. If you fall in any of these categories, you can easily set up an account and easily transition from a dependency on Skrill. Deriv also has the DP2P platform to withdraw and deposit funds through a marketplace.
This is an open peer-to-peer platform where you can withdraw and deposit funds from and into your trading account. A lot of people in Zimbabwe are already using it meaning that your money can easily be moved around.
